In 1977, Salli operated the Velvet Greene culinary herb cart at Quincy Market in Boston. She completed herbal apprenticeships with Diane Nuckle of Earth Spirits in Sturbridge, Rosita Arvigo in Belize, and is completing her studies with Rosemary Gladstar.
