Aquilegia Winky Series - Red & White Double - Columbine
Charming upwardly facing double flowers of red and white frills. Sturdy stems on compact plants. Short 18" - plant 12" apart. Zone 4-8. Place near front of border for best viewing. Flowers in April and May. We offer many forms of this wonderful flower. Some flowers form a delicate star of outer petals surrounding an inner ring with yellow centers - some have long spurs that project out behind the blossoms - others are spur-less with double blossoms. All are graceful, with blue-green foliage, at home in formal or cottage settings, with its flowers at the center of attention. A wealth of flowers in sun or shade. All self sow without being annoying, and will yield interesting hybrids if others are close by to cross pollinate.
