Glowing red, very substantial flowers with horizontal petals on robust plants. Stands out immediately when first seen. Medium to Tall 3' - Plant 16" apart. Zone 3-8. This will be the Echinacea of the future. Remains one of the finest border plants. Coarse deep green 8" leaves are serrated and act as a pleasing foil for smaller plants. Flower petals radiate downward from a pronounced central seed head. Long lasting as a cut flower, and attractive to butterflies. Flowers abound in early summer, then continue until frost.
