Perennial.
From 1968 to 1979 Fredrick C. Boutin was a botanist at the Huntington Botanic Gardens in Pasadena, California. After he left there, he came across a previously unnamed Lavandin, and proceeded to clone it. Thus, Fred Boutin Lavender was introduced to the world in 1984 and has become a long stemmed favorite among Lavender collectors.
It has 18-20" stems; light blue flowers, soft green foliage throughout winter, late summer blooms, an outstanding landscape plant. This plant has the best winter foliage of any on the farm, and it blooms late to extend the flowering season.
