This superb hardy fern is found in every continent except Antarctica in tropical and warm temperate climates and is hardy as far north as New York in microclimate areas. In the wild it is found on limestone soils and on limestone rock if kept wet. It will grow in full sun in Texas if kept wet. Now that’s hardy. It may also be used in interior planting and in combination planters with seasonal color to add a delicate texture to the colorful pots.
