Parsley, Italian large leaf - Petroselium crispum nepolitanum
Biennial. Decidedly not the more often ornamental curly parsley presented on plates at restaurants, Italian parsley has broad, glossy leaves. It is used largely in Italian dishes. The tender, flat leaves have a fresh, clean taste and aroma. Add it to soups, chiles, pestos and long-simmering stews.
